Short version: we keep what you send us so we can answer you, and we do not sell any of it.
This page sets out how Drive Smart Auto Sales LLC (“we”) handles the information you give us through this website or when you contact the desk about a car.
The forms on this site — a question about a car, a reservation, or a message to the desk — send us the details you type: your name, phone number, email address and whatever you wrote. A reservation also carries a photograph of your ID, which we hold only to confirm that the person buying the car is the person we are speaking to. Our server keeps ordinary technical records as well, such as the IP address a request came from and when it arrived, which is what lets us block abuse.
Answering you, talking about cars, arranging a sale and its delivery, and keeping a record of what was agreed. That is the whole list. We do not sell personal information, and we do not hand it to advertisers.
Only the people needed to carry out what you asked for — a transport company that has to know where to bring your car, for instance — and anyone the law obliges us to tell. Those parties get what they need for that job and nothing beyond it.
Enquiry records stay with us while we are still dealing with you and for as long as tax and accounting rules require, then they are deleted. We take sensible measures to protect what we store, while being honest that nothing sent over the internet can be promised as perfectly secure.
Write to us and you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it removed where we are not required to keep it. We will not make you jump through hoops for that.
